I didn't have any major concerns with the barbell and the weights themselves, but the dumbbells really ruined this product for me.
After only about one week of use the dumbbell handles included in this set were falling apart. The texture underneath the handles of the dumbbells are pretty uncomfortable, they are also threaded unlike the barbell's smoother texture. This makes it extremely uncomfortable to handle in the case that the dumbbell's initial handle is torn.
I really don't think that the price of this item is worth what you're getting.

I've owned this weight set for one month now. This set doesn't come close to comparing with weights in a gym.
The bar is 1" in diameter. If you're used to a standard bar then this one will be awkward to use and feel fragile.
The biggest weight is 25lbs. The weights themselves are hard to grip. The faces are flat with no ridges. The hole is 1 & 1/4" in diameter which makes this a hard place to pick the weight up at. Finally the weights have a slick surface and will slip out of your hand and off one another when you stack them on the floor.
The weights were delivered in 3 separate packages on the same day.

Overall, product is good, however, it is unfortuante that the large bar bell was not packaged correctly. The barbell was bent when arrived. Instead of bothering with returning everything, as this was a gift and it took a long time to arrive, I opted to order just the barball from Dick's Sporting Good. The barbell was packaged correctly, and therefore did not arrive bent.
